Yin is the opposite of our Yang (Active) practices. Yin teaches you how to feel, activating change at a very deep level while cultivating powerful inner awareness and learning to sit in stillness. You will hold poses between 3-5 minutes using props to assist the depth of your pose. Learn to find peace in some slight discomfort on the mat and take the skill with you as you leave the mat. Yin gets deep into our connective tissues, lubricates the joints and helps us break through the plateaus in our active classes. Give your nervous system the break it needs and come settle for a slow down.
Come explore this additional morning 75 minute Yin class before the muscles have a chance to fully warm up. Entering a Yin class without a warmup is a great way to bypass the muscles and get right to that sticky fascia.
