In this class you will be able to explore the slower paced, deep stretch, beginner friendly, tension releasing poses customized to your comfort level using the assistance of the silks and other props. This class will combine both restorative and yin concepts. A restorative pose is designed to help restore a body in need of healing by offering the body to passively rest into the pose with the assistance of props holding the body for approximately 5-10minutes. Restorative poses can help speed up your healing process or a great introduction to movement after prolonged inactivity. Restorative yoga has been shown to aid in circulation, detoxification and relieve chronic stress. Yin yoga offers a gentle stress to our connective tissues activating change at a deep level, while still using props to assist and longer holds. Yin yoga works on the areas around the joints to assist in increasing or maintaining flexibility while lubricating the joints and releasing fascia.
