For every yoga teacher, body worker or student, a thorough understanding of the location and interrelationship of the human body’s structure is essential. Palpation is a practical technique to learn this. It’s a practice where you will roll up your sleeves and use your hands to explore the human body. This is not a standard, boring anatomy class.
You will learn to locate and isolate specific bony landmarks, muscle locations and muscle attachments. In addition, you will also study action of the muscles, tendons, bones and tissues to gain a better understanding of movement in the body – essential knowledge for any yoga teacher, body worker or health care provider.
Developing this deep understanding of what is happening inside the physical body (interoception) will help you improve the experience for your yoga students or the outcome of your clients
